Chicago History

Chicago has changed a lot since the first permanent resident Jean Baptiste Point du Sable settled in. Now it’s all technology and apartments. But before, the first settlers were traders and farmers. There were a bunch of events such as the Great Chicago Fire and our nation’s first skyscraper. And in 1943 Chicago’s first subway opened.
