Slice of Life #2

Yesterday I played like three missions on the halo reach campaign with my brother and honestly it’s the only video game story I ever felt anything for. So let me sum up the story. You are Noble 6 and you have a record of being almost a legend and you were a lone wolf type of guy, you worked solo and now you’re with a team that is awesome there was an opening on the team because someone went MIA and you’re filling his spot. You’re against the covenant, a ruthless race with an unconditional hatred for all humans. They're going to “glass” the planet Reach ending all life on it. Once you play some missions you realize you can’t save Reach and while you were trying to save it a teammate called Jorge died putting a bomb in a covenant ship the size of Illinois. You were on that mission too but you can’t leave. Someone has to do the bomb manually and stay there. Jorge is a big guy so he picks you up (by the way you’re a spartan super soldier that is super strong a project by Dr. Halsey but that’s a big story, anyway you way like 200 pounds 200 pounds of muscle) George picks you up like a pencil looks at you and says in a raspy voice “make it count”. He puts his dog tag in your hands and throws you off the ship back on planet and you watch the ship blow up. You survived the fall from space because of your spartan armor by the way. And after the ship blows up dozens of other ships the size of a state exactly like the one you were on warped into space. Jorge died thinking that because he blew up the mothership carrying most of the covenant he saved reach, and that didn’t happen it was a pointless death and you look at the dog tags in your hands. So sad, the first time I ever felt sad because of a story created by bungie. You’re teammate died thinking he saved an innocent planet when that wasn’t the case. And he’s not the only one. EVERYONE eventually dies sacrificing himself to complete the mission except you and the sniper. And it’s all so sad but it’s an awesome story. Me and my brother stopped playing right when the second to the last mission ends; it ends by you watching the ship that carries masterchief leave. So when I get back on I’ll play the last mission. The last mission is you on Reach alone, the mission is called Lone wolf and the objective is
to survive.

By the way Halo 1 begins as you, Masterchief on a ship.
